Altered Art - Curio On Wheels

The day was made for laziness, and lying on one's back in green places, and staring at the sky till its brightness forced one to shut one's eyes and go to sleep . . .

(source The Old Curiosity Shop by Charles Dickens  - 1841)

This little wooden box has been laying around on my desk for ages... waiting to be altered. Inspired by the new collection of Graphic 45 I thought about something curio :) It smells nice as well as I have added cloves on the bottom, even after covering them in glue... they still smell strong.

Materials I used are;
Wooden box
Ranger paint dabbers - White
Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad - Vintage Photo
Tim Holtz Idea-ology - Game Pieces
Tim Holtz Idea-ology - Sprocket Gears
7 Gypsies Apothecary - Bottle and sticker
Graphic 45 - Communique collection

My Travel Smash Book

The Smash Book idea is from K & Co, they introduced it in 2011. Unfortunately I have not been able to get my hands on one of their books... so... I made my own version.

Thursday

ATC booklet

Creating ATC's is a great way to praktice new techniques, I love making them and I started swapping them too. But where do I keep my swaps?

I made this little booklet using the Graphic 45 collection Tropical Travelogue... don't you just loooove the colours (my favourite Turquoise!). The covers are made from chipboard covered with the paper on the outside, for the inside I used embossed and painted cardstock.

The pages/pockets are made with Bazzill Kraft cardstock. The Tropical Travelogue is a beautiful collection and with the Lumiere paint I used to make the inside cover a perfect match.

Materials I used are;
Graphic 45 - Tropical Travelogue 8x8
Lumiere paint - Pearl Turquoise,  Halo Violet-Gold
Tattered Angels - Regal Ornate Frames
Bazzill - Kraft cardstock
7 Gypsies - metal corners
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder 5x7" - Deb Devine
