Birthday Card

Finally, I finished another project. My friends son is going to be 17 and she asked me to make a card for him. I do find it difficult to make a card for a boy... but this is what I came up with.

For obvious reasons I could not show the photographs I used. You can see on the inside left and right that I used tags, you only see the back of them, on the front I used pictures of him as a young child and one of how he looks now. The tags in the middle have space for her to write a message.

I used my favourite Tim Holtz die - Vintage Cabinet Card - to cut the front and back using my recycled card from my daily coffee. Then I used the bazzill kraft card to create the inside and decorated it with the Lost and Found papers. I embossed the heart and metal numbers with the Moonglow embossing powder... I love the deep red of this colour. I created pockets and used some stamps from Tim holtz to add some extra interest. I recently bought these stamps and I'm loving them!! I finished the card using some seam binding for closure.

I found this idea for the card on youtube, a tutorial from SplitCoastStampers. She used the Pink Paislee papers and a spellbinders die.
